How do you ask someone their age? Is it, ‘How old are you?’ ‘What is your age?’ or ‘How young are you?’ Is age really a number or a perception of the number? Either way, how do you age gracefully and stay active? What are the triggers that age us other than time? How will awareness and choices keep us healthy and active longer?
Aging is a beautiful process and part of the cycle of life. Being in my mid 40’s now, I have a unique perspective. I have experienced a lot and professionally, have had clients of all ages, levels and challenges. I have seen 50 year olds that can’t put their shoes on and ones that run marathons without a worry.
Many will agree that genetics plays a big roll in this process, which is true. But there are definitive things that literally age us quicker than not. Stress, disease, viruses, environment, artificial/manufactured food and a lack of proper exercise are the ones at the top of the list.
How is it that we spend more on health care than any other nation and we have higher rates of obesity, diabetes and chronic illness ever. The cost to care for ourselves is bankrupting millions and costing our government absorbent amounts annually.
Let’s all scratch our heads together…How is obesity which is almost entirely preventable through a proper intake, cost us over 320 Billion annually to treat?!
Add this with all the others combined and it puts us over a trillion in health costs. That is money we all pay via taxes, medical costs, insurance. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), touts that 75% of our nations health care costs are avoidable through a healthier intake.
We have an eco system that is remarkable and works. We have a food chain, seasons and natural rejuvenation systems through Mother Nature. As intelligent as humans are, we are making poor/unaware choices in how we grow our food and what we eat. Humans are the only mammal to change their intake from creation. Polar Bears eat seals not bread.
My Father grew up on a farm in Iowa in the 1930’s. His parents had over 1,000 acres of one of the most successful corn farms. They never used pesticides to kill bugs or weeds. They never modified seeds to try to grow more. He is now 81 and shocked how everyone calls pesticide food conventional. Pesticides were introduced for pure profit. And if you feel the need as a grower to kill bugs, organic pesticides are highly effective.
They too raised cattle and feed them free range grass and corn that they raised. Now with modified grains, toxicity in corn fed beef from the GMO corn, gets stored in the animals and then in our body as toxic fat. Our body has no idea how to assimilate modified food.
Thus we are seeing big food industries using pesticides and modifying food the way nature never intended. From this, we are seeing record amounts of disease. So, the picture is easy for me to see. Just make better choices on buying food that is not modified, that is organic and where there is no GMO. Unfortunately, each presidential candidate has pesticide and GMO proponents in their camp, so it is up to us to buy clean, real food, supporting organic agriculture, farmers markets and local food sources.
When we start making better choices on the food we eat, our bodies will reward us with health, energy and longevity. We also know that our brain is 60% omega fat and we need good fat to buffer sugar and thrive with mental acuity. The AxiaBliss eBook, will show you a clean food pairing guide to burn fat as fuel for energy and longevity.
The AxiaBliss eBook will also share how anaerobic training also is beneficial to your survival instinct and how it plays a major role in longevity. When you increase your heart rate, you will burn fat longer. It heightens your senses and develops more fast twitch fiber.
Chronic stress is the real kicker. The keys to longevity are to combat chronic stress. Exercise, Meditation, Tai Chi, taking 10 big breaths per day will get you started. The restorative pose is another favorite. Just lay on your back with your feet upon a chair. This will pool all the blood back down to your organs where you need them and reset your nervous system within 10-15 minutes.
Check in with your body and rest when you need it. Listen to what it says. Your body will guide you to what it thrives on. The AxiaBliss Intake program has a more detailed list of what to do and avoid for longevity.
